RESPOND

We enter Week 6 of our 75th Year of High School Football Broadcasts  on The One …The Only -1480 WHBC. For many teams week 6 will be a test of embracing adversity, and how you choose to respond to that adversity. Case in point..the Lake Blue Streaks.

Lake entered last week’s game vs Jackson looking to go 5 – 0 for the first time in  21 Years. End result was a 28 – 3 smack down that the Blue Streaks need to put in the rear view mirror quickly.  They have an offense that thrives when running the football. 450 Yards week 4 vs Louisville….Minus 2 yards vs Jackson.  The rushing game will be critical against Canton McKinley. AND…FINISHING….in the first half vs Jackson they came away with 0 points on a 1st and Goal at Jackson’s 1, and the Streaks dropped a pass in the end zone.

The Bulldogs have responded since a week 3 loss to Euclid by posting back to back convincing wins.  The Bulldog offense is purring along scoring over 40 points per game in 4 consecutive games. The running game has carried them to this point, and now the passing game is showing growth within the offensive scheme.

The pressure mounts this time of the season.  Federal League Teams start beating up on each other with hopes of a league title, and piling up points with additional hopes of the opportunity to play in Week 11.  There will be adversity along the way. From my perspective In the Booth…It’s all about how you respond. See ya’ll On the Radio for Sarchione Ford Game of the Week…McKinley vs Lake!!
