After sitting out last year’s competition, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut returned to the Nathan’s Famous 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest and blew away the 15 man field devouring 70.5 hotdogs in 10 minutes to win the “Mustard Belt” and reclaim the title!

Chestnut’s came up short of setting a new world record as he attempted to break the 76 hot dog mark he set in 2021.

But with the victory, Chestnut now has won this 4th of July event a record 17 times..

For his efforts, Chestnut takes home the $10,000 first place prize.

Last year’s winner, when Chestnut did not participate, Patrick Bertoletti finished second, eating 46.5 hotdogs. He pockets $5,000.

Miki Sudo won the women’s competition eating 33 hotdogs in 10 minutes. It’s the 11th time she’s claimed this Championship.
