Per ESPN.com, Cavs President Koby Altman has pulled off his second major deal before Thursday’s NBA trading deadline, sending one of Cleveland’s “Core Four”, 26 year old Darius Garland to the L.A. Clippers for the NBA’s 9th all-time leading scorer, James Harden.

This follows up Altman’s recent trade of De’Andre Hunter to the Kings for Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroder.

Harden, who is 36,  comes to Cleveland averaging 25.4 points per game this season to go along with 8 assists per contest.

Garland leaves Cleveland with a big toe injury, while averaging only 18 points per game and hasn’t played since  January 14, 2026.

The Clippers also get a 2nd round pick from the Cavs in the deal.
