Day 2 of the NBA Draft was held Thursday night in Brooklyn, New York. After not having a first-round selection Wednesday night, Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations, Koby Altman made two selections in the second round.

With pick 49, Cleveland selected 6’4″ Duke shooting guard Tyrese Proctor. Then, with the 58th pick, the Cavs chose Saliou Niang, a 6’8″ guard/forward from Senegal.

Various media reports suggest Proctor will have a chance to make the roster this season, while Niang is expected to be stashed overseas for a year or two to develop.

Proctor, who is from Australia, is known for his elite shooting. Niang, while raw offensively, is a physically gifted wing player with good defensive versatility.
