The baseball world lost a legend. Baseball’s all time hits leader Pete Rose passed away at the age of 83 yesterday. He was just recently seen at several card collectors events with other members of the Big Red Machine (see photos below).  His friends and family say he died peacefully. No word on a cause. Rose will be remembered as the kingpin of the Big Red Machine and winner of two World Series with the Cincinnati Reds in 1975 and 1976 – he won a total of 3.  He broke Ty Cobb’s record in 1985.  He is still not in the baseball hall of fame because he bet on baseball.  Some believe that may change now that he’s passed away.
