Dingler Wins Gold Glove

Former Polar Bears multi-star athlete and state champion, Dillon Dingler has won a Rawlings Gold Glove for the Detroit Tigers as the best defensive catcher in the American League for the 2025 season.

The 2017 Jackson grad, takes home the award in his first full season in Major League Baseball.

Detroit’s former 2nd round pick did not allow a passed ball all season and ranked 1st in caught stealing percentage, throwing out 31.7% of runners attempting to steal.

The 27 year old Dingler also shined at the plate in 2025, hitting .278 with 13 home runs and 57 rbi’s in 126 games.
