GlenOak’s Scott Garcia Retires
A statement from GlenOak HC Scott Garcia:
“I will be retiring as the Head Football Coach at GlenOak High School. I have been honored to
lead the GlenOak Program for the past 17 years and look forward to many new challenges and
adventures in the future. My first tenure was much more successful than the last, but I believe
our kids fought and learned as many lessons as all of our best teams did. It takes complete
alignment from everyone in order to be successful and my wish is for everyone to get on the
same page to move the program back to where we had it not too long ago.
I had the opportunity to work with many coaches, student-athletes, administrators, board
members, and parents. I thank them all for the endless commitment and support through the
years.
I am proud of the things we were able to accomplish along the way from many Big Wins to the
addition of several Athletic facility upgrades that the kids in Plain Local will be able to use for
decades to come. I am always here for any of our players and look forward to seeing all the
successes they have in life.
Lastly I want to thank my wife, Chrystel for the unwavering support and countless hours of
sacrifice on our family over the past 35 years.
Thank you!
Coach G.
