Guardians Start Fast, Win Game One Of ALDS
The Cleveland Guardians used a 5 run first inning to beat the Detroit Tigers in game #1 of the ALDS in Cleveland, 7-0.
Lane Thomas 3-run homer was the big blow in the first for the Guards.
Designated hitter David Fry added 2 hits and 2 rbi’s for the Guardians.
Tanner Bibee started and went 4 2/3 innings and then manager Steven Vogt turned it over to his bullpen, using 4 relievers to close it out for the game #1 win.
Cade Smith was credited with the victory.
Game #2 is Monday in Cleveland.
Matthew Boyd gets the start for the Guards, while the Tigers counter with Tarik Skubal.
First pitch is set for 4:08pm on 1480 WHBC.
