Indy Races Past Cavs In Game 1
Indiana’s offense was in high gear Sunday night as they hit 19 of 36 shots from 3-point range in route to a 121-112 win over the Cavs in Cleveland in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.
Andrew Nembhard led 6 Pacers in double figures with 23 points. His backcourt running mate Tyrese Haliburton added 22 points and 13 assists.
Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 33 points, but needed 30 shots to do so.
As hot as Indy was from beyond the arc (53%), Cleveland was the polar opposite, hitting just 9 of 38 shots for a chilly (24%). Mitchell and Ty Jerome (21 points) made only 2 of 15 from 3-point country.
Cavs All-Star point guard Darius Garland did not play, missing his 3rd straight playoff game with a left big toe injury. His status for Game 2 Tuesday night in Cleveland is unknown at this time.
With the victory the Pacers stole home court advantage from the Cavs in this best-of-7.
