Massillon Boys Beat Lima, Will Play For Hoops State Title
Massillon Beats Lima 75-63 in OHSAA D-2 State Semi’s

The Massillon Tigers will play for the Division 2 OHSAA Boys Basketball State Championship on Sunday, March 22 against Westerville North thanks to a convincing 75-63 victory over Lima Senior in the State Semi-Finals.

Xavier Williams led the way for the Tigers with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Geo Jackson Jr. added 18 points, Jadyce Thigpen with 15 points and Braylon Gamble chipped in 11 points in the victory.

Massillon’s defense helped hold the Spartans to only 36% shooting overall and a dismal 3 for 33 shooting on 3-point field goals for 9%.

Next up for the (26-1) Tigers, who have now won 23 games in a row, Westerville North High School who is also (26-1).
