Ten thousand plus fans gathered at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium to watch the 135th meeting of Massillon and McKinley. Fans watched the same results as the past eight years, but with a more competitive game.

After a McKinley fumble, Massillon waisted no time building a 13-0 lead. Jalen Slaughter found his two best receivers Braylyn Toles and Jacques Carter for passing touchdowns.  An improved Bulldog defense keep  the score at 13-0 long enough for Kam Montgomery to find DJ Britt for McKinley’s first points since 2022.

A Massillon field goal by Mateo Herrera just before halftime made it 16-7. That was the final score after neither team found points in the second. Tiger Senior QB Jalen Slaughter was the games MVP finishing with 153 passing yards and two passing touchdowns.

This was Massillon’s 9th straight win against McKinley, moving the series record to 77-53-5 in favor of the Tigers
