Sayin Named Ohio State Starter At QB
As the defending National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes get ready for their season opener at home against the Texas Longhorns, head coach Ryan Day has officially announced his starting quarterback for that game and it will be Julian Sayin.
The red shirt freshman signal caller beat out junior, Lincoln Kienholz for the starting job.
The 6’1, 208 pound Sayin, transfered to O.S.U. from Alabama following Nick Saban’s retirement.
Sayin completed 5 of 12 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 24 yards on 2 carries in very limited action last year for Ohio State.
That highly anticipated game between the #2 ranked Buckeyes and the #1 ranked Longhorns will take place Saturday August 30, at 12 PM at Ohio Stadium.
